All Components of Mivan Shuttering (Aluminium Formwork System)

 

Mivan formwork consists of different components that help in constructing walls, slabs, columns, and other structural elements efficiently. These components can be categorized into:

1. Vertical Components (For Walls & Columns)

These are used to form vertical elements like walls, columns, and lift cores.

(A) Wall Components:

1. Wall Panels – Large aluminum panels used to form walls.

2. Kicker (Wall Starter) – Small horizontal plates placed at the bottom to support wall panels.

3. External Corner (Edge Panel) – Used at external corners to join two perpendicular walls.

External Soffit Corner: It forms the external corner between the components.

4. Internal Corner (Corner Panel) – Used at internal corners for a smooth joint.

Internal Soffit Corner: - It forms the vertical internal corner between the walls and the beams, slabs, and the horizontal internal cornice between the walls and the beam slabs and the beam soffit.

5. Rockers – Horizontal elements at the bottom of wall panels, helping in alignment.

6. Stub Pins & Wedges – Used to connect and lock wall panels securely.

(B) Column Components:

1. Column Panels – Vertical panels forming rectangular or square columns.

2. Column Corner Panel – Used for smooth jointing at column corners.

3. Pin & Wedge System – Helps in locking column panels together.

2. Horizontal Components (For Slabs & Beams)

These components help in forming slabs, beams, and other horizontal structures.

(A) Slab Components:

1. Slab Panels – Large flat aluminum panels forming the floor slab.

2. Deck Beams (Mid Beam & End Beam)– Support the slab panels, providing stability.

3. Deck Prop Head (Drop Head) – Connects slab panels to vertical props and allows easy removal.

4. Deck Beam Bar – Supports the deck and beam.

5. Props (Adjustable Steel/Aluminium) – Support the slab and keep it in position until concrete hardens.

6. Soffit Beam Panel (Slab soffit lengh) – Forms the underside of beams and provides support.

(B) Beam Components:

1. Beam Side Panels – Used to form the side walls of beams.

2. Beam Bottom Panels – Supports the bottom of the beam.

3. Beam Soffit Panel – Supports the slab above the beam.

3. Supporting Components

These help in holding the entire system in place and provide strength.

1. Prop Head (U-Head / Drop Head) – Helps in easy removal of slab panels.

2. Props (Vertical Supports) – Provide temporary support to the slab and beam formwork.

3. Pin & Wedges – Lock different panels together securely.

4. Tie Rods & Tie Bars – Hold formwork panels tightly to prevent deformation.

5. Wall Ties – Maintain the gap between opposite wall panels.
